Christmas Tree Lighting

One the first Sunday in December, members of Greenfield Hill Village Improvement Society, Greenfield Hill Congregational Church and area neighbors gather to sing carols and light the Christmas tree on the Greenfield Hill Green next to the church.

The Society planted the first fir tree here for this purpose in 1923 and with few exceptions has carried out this custom ever since. A wonderful time-honored tradition, this is a great way for family, friends and neighbors to usher in the winter holiday season.
